About APICS CSCP
The APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)program is a new industry educational and certification program created to meet the rapidly changing needs of the supply chain management field. Manufacturing or service; for profit or not-for-profit, the increasingly important role of the supply chain is affecting all organizations. Customers demand high quality at low prices. Product cost aside, Supply Chains (perhaps your competitors) are using delivery costs, and delivery speed as differentiators, and winning customers with superior performance in these areas.
If that’s not difficult enough, product variety (customization) is another way superior performers are winning orders.
Effective supply chain management is essential to successfully compete in today's global marketplace. If you’re not convinced, take a look at the competition. Not impressed? Then take a look at best in class. How do you do that?
APICS CSCP helps you do that by taking a broad view of the field, using real life examples, extending beyond internal operations to encompass all steps throughout the supply chain—from the supplier’s supplier, to the customer’s customer—providing you with the knowledge to effectively manage the integration of these activities to maximize the company's value chain.
CSCP Scope
The CSCP body of knowledge contains the following four domains:
- Supply Chain Management Fundamentals
- Building Competitive Operations-Planning,and Logistics
- Managing Customer and Supplier Relationships
- Using Information Technology to Enable Supply Chain Management

Interested in Volunteering? We need:
-Seminar Coordinators
-Companies interested in volunteering classroom space
-People interested in teaching APICS classes
Seminar Coordinators
Boston APICS will be running a number of seminars during the 2006-2007 season. We need people to assist with overall seminar operations. Tasks like: location arrangements, advertising, fees, financial reviews, registration and so on. This is a great chance to get involved and give something back to the organization and to your profession. Contact us if you're interested:
CLASSROOM SPACE WANTED
We need classroom space for our courses. Typically these courses run from 10 to 13 weeks one night a week between 6:00 and 9:00 PM. Preferably the location will be near the Waltham / 128 area. Some of our classes have 8-10 students, so a smaller room would be fine for this. However, we hope to attract more students as we grow, so a room that can accommodate a larger class is also desirable. Instructors, coordinators and students are all professionals: security or competitive issues should not be a concern. Plus the host company receives a free slot in any and all classes we run in your facility. What could be better: High quality education, in your facility: for free.
We also offer daytime classes (9:00 to 5:00) or some set of hours compatible with the course material and your needs. Again, the same offer: a fee slot in the class for the sponsoring organization.
People interested in teaching APICS classes
Boston APICS is looking to expand its educational offerings. We need Instructors to assist. These are paid assignments. Contact us if you're interested in teaching any of our classes:
